This one is perhaps my favorite reptile drawing because of a combination of what it means and how it turned out. It is not my most worked one, neither a compelx one, but I has this idea for a long tie, being imagining it on music and in clips, it was an obsession and the character still is sometimes. ~*~ This is a very special reptile whose nickname comes from the torn wings. He was a sad orphan, and when he was little he suffered a wound so bad that the fragile wings never healed and he never learned to fly. The others always laughed at him and taunted him until they drive him mad and, despaired, he jumped of a tall cliff trying to enjoy the sensation of flight ignorant of the consequences due to his madness. While he was falling down, it felt like flying: the vertical cliff seemed horizontal ground behind him and vegetation was rapidly passing near him… wind was blowing, his wings were stretched… he was so happy, his heart was beating so strongly… then, the crater’s bottom was closing in… closing in… closing… … … … He was crying in the gentle embrace of the Being of the Halls. That day, he frolicked in the sunset happy as never before. :) ~*~ SadWing was saved from the fall by a very uncanny and entirely special being of my imagination, the Unnamed Being of The Halls. It is not the place to detail upon the Halls, what they means for imagination and their special inhabitants, but enough to say that the Nameless Being is the most powerful being of all imagination in my stories. He saved SadWing catching him before the crash, took him in the Halls and taught him various things about imagination and made this little poor creature a very important helper in the Halls. Eventually, the reptile got to fly with the most powerful being of all imagination! SadWing is now a very famous and respected character because of what he does: he aids the fable Being of the Halls in his attempts to save various imaginary beings that have been overcome by the hardship of life… imaginary life, that is. :) SadWing is there to comfort others that are brought to the Halls, because if they had direct contact with them they would risk going mad after all the tragedy and confronted with so much power. But instead, they spent some time playing with the cute SadWing and they regain confidence.
