Blodeuwedd was made of flowers and given to Lleu Llaw Gyffes by the wizard Math Mathonwy because be was cursed by his mother, Arianrhod, never to marry a mortal woman. She fell in love with some other guy, I forget his name, and they only way she could be with his is if they killed Lleu. They attempted to, but were caught and Blodeuwedd was turned into an owl. I felt pity for her, and see her as representing women who had no choice as to who they married. Or something like that.
