If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended -
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream...
Else the Puck a liar call.
So, good night unto you all.
Give us your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends. Before I was in Midsummer Night's Dream, I admit I subscribed to the Peter Pan/Mickey Rooney concept of Puck... innocent, lovable, childlike, just as he's depicted here. After Midsummer, my opinion changed somewhat. He's quite the perverted little miscreant, isn't he? Maybe I'll draw that concept another time. ^.^* This picture was done about 3 years ago as an assignment by the same professor who directed Midsummer Night's Dream. We were to 'create art' inspired by the Bard's play, so I did character design. Primas on watercolor paper.
