Welcome to my most current series entitled 'Ridiculous Fantasy Femmes!' Whoo hoo! As any red-blooded feminist will tell you ::waves flag:: science fiction and fantasy art is chock full of absurd stereotypes, archetypes, and severely exaggerated depiction's of the female form. So, I've decided to try a fun lil experiment which I call: If you can't fight it, and you can't change it, make fun of it! Hey, it's been working for Saturday Night Live for years. ;) So sit back and enjoy, and please, have a giggle at my expense.First up is Caressa the 'Seductive' Mermaid. I say 'seductive,' because no woman ever really wears this expression. Seriously, the adult film industry made it up. Other cliches razzed: Giganormous bosoms that defy gravity, complete with pious nipples (that means they point ever heavenward).Shiny bottom - really, what's with the shiny caboose thing? I think someone took Buns of Steel a bit too literally.Absured, unrealistic figure that just screams 'My vertebrae are snapping!' Bonus point for getting hiney and hoo-haas in the same picture, though.Hands too small, head too big, eyes too... wait, who am I kidding? No one is looking at her HANDS! Silly me.Pencil.
