These are some bad photos of one of my first attempts at sculpture. The glass in the center is a candleholder for small votive candles. Around the glass, I used Sculpey clay to make the firebird. After it baked, I painted it. Unfortunately, the photos do not represent the true colors (the lower picture is most accurate), but it's a start - I'm going to try to get a digital camera and take some better pictures. This was a gift for my friend Hilary Bienstock (is that a cool name, or what? :) PS - if anyone has suggestions for how to successfully photograph sculptures on a low budget, I'd love to hear them. I have some other stuff I'd like to take photos of eventually.
