This is the drawing I made for my parents on their 19th anniversary. I had already done way too many sculptures at the time and most had turned out horribly. So, I decided to put the idea I had swimming in my head down on paper. This picture has some symoblism in it, I'm not sure if my parents caught it, but it took me a long time to get it right. This was about the fifth try at drawing this and outlining it in pen correctly. The two dragons represent my parents of course, the one on the right my mother and the one on the left my father. I decided to give my father a larger snout and spines instead of fur to add to the masculinity of the dragon. My mother has fur and ears instead of horns. (plus I added some nifty loop earrings ) They are holding up their hands as if to clasp them together and the sort of fiery image that is between their hands is a phoenix, this symbolises immortality, and paired with the heart that is held between their tails, I think it symbolises eternal love. But that's just me. In the end, I think my father turned out looking somewhat like a female. But, all in all, I like it.
