Hehe, I get to mark 'eraser' for materials 'cause that's what he's made of! Come on, you've all been there. That darn drawing just won't cooperate, no matter how hard you try, the graphite, pencil, pastels or chalk refuses to assume the shape you want and that blasted kneaded eraser just won't erase properly. Muttering to yourself, and staring despairingly at your ruined masterpiece, you begin to knead that eraser, for that is what kneaded erasers are for, is it not? Eventually, something begins to emerge. Perhaps not with a full form, but something in that eraser is screaming to be let out. It hollers and wails and you can do nothing but comply. Your sketch pad lies forgotten where you dropped it in your fit of frustration and your hands knead on... *hugs her putty man* I think he's something like a little eraser gnome. Maybe if you don't like something in your drawing, he'll come help you fix it. Though he does have a tendency to erase too much, or sometimes too little. And his fingers break off if he isn't careful.
