Recent sitings in the Canadian Shield would suggest that this arguably barren area of the world may now be known as a 'hotspot' for Wyvern activity. The hype began with the capture of the 'Maple Wyvern', which gave rise to a wide-spread hunt for new species and discoveries. Most recently captured is the surprisingly gentle 'Pine Wyvern', Wyvernae coniferious canadiensis, an odd creature indeed. The misleading colouring seems to serve to protect the tiny creature, as do the spines that adorn it's slight body. Preliminary reports indicate that the creature's diet consists primarily of insects and grubs - as will be studied in depth by further research.
