She's weird. I didn't try to get any meaning into this pic, I just wanted to practise my skills of drawing people's sides. I think I got her pose and anatomy pretty well, if you kindly overlook the insanely slim waist I can never seem to avoid. I just can't draw them any less thin, I'm afraid. (Believe me, I tried!) The background of the original thing is, for my measures, pretty good. those weird erratic lines are burns. I burned off the brim of the paper to create a neat effect on my background for once, and on the actual paper, it does look pretty cool. only problem is, my scanner's too small, so you only get to see about half of the edges, which may look weird. coloring is s***, as always. And her head and especically the eyes look kinda creepy because I couldn't really color them with that damn old brush I used. (First time I tried watercolor.) Also, her hairstyle may confuse you. It's supposed to be several plaits braided right onto the head (we call it french plait, but I'm guessing those would be corn rows in English). And the rest is shaved. On the back of the head, all of the plaits merge into some sort of knot (that point isn't really thought through so much, since you can't see it anyway). And it's all decorated by some feathers. And the thing under her hand is some sort of energy ball she can create. Or something. You see, it's all rather pointless, and the scan takes away a good bit of its appeal, but all in all, it's kinda neat, I think.
