*Edit and fix of an old drawing The mother of Ira (Dusk Merloci). Taken from her tribe in a siege by Reslia's enemy, Surlvhal, Dinah became a slave to a chieftain whose son took an eye for her. Becoming his own when he set out on his own, he and Dinah had their firstborn, Matteniah with a second later on. When war sparked again between the rival nations, the young noble put away his wife and unborn child, keeping his firstborn. Discovering that he meant to have her killed to prevent any suspicion of his fealty being questioned, Dinah fled not long after Ira was born. Making it back to her homeland, she found her tribe had not yet been reached by the conflict. Reuniting with her family, Dinah raised Ira among their people briefly before they were forced to flee again, the mercenaries and war having caught up to them. Across Obolos Desert they sojourned with gypsies, deserters and merchants, they arrive in the realm of Isalme. A widowed farmer took pity on them and allowed them to live with him and his three sons. A new guest would arrive not long after, a baby girl left at farmer Mulkivitch's gate. Discovering the child to be a Penumbra, Dinah took it on herself to raise her with Ira. Time went by and a small plague came to Isalme, sparring all but Dinah. Bedridden, there was not much she could do once the mercenaries,still under contract found them at last. Setting the farm ablaze and killing the Mulkivitch family, only Ira and Mila survived with her in the barn-house. With Ira unwilling to leave her behind, Dinah gave her son the choice of leaving her to the flames or take what was left of her life, and escape. Only Mila and Dusk know what happened that day and never have spoken of it...
