Ti'unil they called her, and had raised her as their own. Born to a high ranking Elven noble woman, Ti'unil had had a good life. Ti'unil was differnt she knew that, her skin was dark as ink and her eyes red like the sunset, but that had seemed not to matter. Not until her mother bore her father a child, another girl. By the law the greater inheritance would go to the eldest child, and that was Ti'unil. Her father could not allow this, that his child would gain less than a bastard with no true father. He had to stop it, had to get rid to Ti'unil. So it was that he took her far far away from the Elven city and left her in the forest to die. The only reply to her anguished cries was, 'No drow is child of mine'. She was only eight years old.
