This drawing depicts two levied infantrymen of Angano. the figure at left wears a lamellar cuirass that extends to cover his groin, a dangosut-type hat over a helmet of lamellar construction with large cheekpieces, a quilted kilt, and is barefoot. he carries a large karandowa shield with a peg at the bottom so the shield can be stuck in the ground, and a truntow sword. the truntow is a unique weapon with a leaf-shaped blade (usually pierced, heavily in ceremonial pieces), a polygonal crossguard, and a triangular or t-shaped shovel-like handle at the end of the grip, so that one hand may grip the hilt normally while the second hand holds the shovel-grip to greatly improve the weapon's stabbing capability. the second figure is a bowman drawing a yrudo warbow with 140 pounds of pull, and wears a lamellar cap, a split quilted kilt with tasseled fringes, and a quiver of long war-arrows on a thin leather belt.
