Next to his house...the boat yard...Further to the left next to the boat builders...stables were bathed in light from the many lanterns...On the hill side of the road the village church rose high above the other buildings. The stone structure was dwarfed by the keep, a hundred yards along the coast..The holy ring of Omnia rose high above the church steeple...Next to the church...was the village inn...Spreading along the road and up the hill, a dozen small houses completed the village of Parth...' THE HOUSE OF KINGS Part One: The Foundations Of Destiny This is a sketch of the village of Parth, where my epic begins. Along the coast, on the rock headland, is the Keep of the Baron of Western Vale. Behind the village on the crest of the hill is the edge of the Golden Oaks, where Calan first met the Shadowy Stranger.
