The Flower Girl

This is a picture of young Nikara Ayiakgo. It is a perfect example to explain her 'nickname', which I used as the title. This comes, of course, from her love of flowers. She is talking to a small winged creature which I will refer to as a faerie, because I have not named any Coropian species yet. Nikaras strange gift of befriending faeries, of which few of her kind are able, is symbolic of her unnaturally innocent nature. Nikara grew up in the mountain village of Ayria, her families chief town. (Coropian families or 'houses' are a little hard to describe. Each of the larger houses of Coropia usually have a chief town, where the family temple is located. There, the house elders make important decisions and teach youngsters. Of course, the whole concept of marriage and stuff like that is way too complicated to explain now.) She is the daughter of Alhrin and Gana of Ayiagko. She eventually runs off with Rahrin Binterward, and their son becomes one of the greatest Coropian heroes in history. He's MY favorite, anyway.

This is the first chapter of what could turn out the my first complete novel describing the Coropian mythology. Since it is only the opening scene, you should already be interested in my art if you want to enjoy this.
