This is the first illustration I drew for 'Siewca Wiatru' by M. L. Kossakowska. The title of this book would probably be 'The Sower of Wind', but I prefer to use the original one. I got the book from a friend and as soon as I had read the very first lines of the story, I simply fell in love with it. I mean, I love reading books of almost every kind, but this one seems somehow special. Those who have read it and will look on my illustrations may not like the way I showed the characters. But this is the Right of Imagination - for every reader the characters of a book may look differently. And ain't that beautiful? ;) I would be very grateful for all the comments, but especially from those who know the story. Feel free to tell me how you imagined the characters or scenes. Criticise if you think it is needed, but criticise FAIRLY! I'm preparing the continuation of this series of illustrations and any suggestions would be appreciated. ;) Pencil on 30x42 cm paper format. It took me two days to finish the picture. 2004.
