“I do not love the bright sword for it's sharpness, nor the arrow for it's swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.” - J.R.R. TolkienSince I've read Simarillion a few years ago, I've earned a special sentiment for elves in the world created by Tolkien. But I don't draw elves too often as the vision of them I have in my mind usually seems so imperfect when I try to put it on paper. Still I hope you will like this picture at least a bit as I enjoyed drawing it very, very much. :)I'm afraid the quality of scanning is not perfect here, but I had to scale a very big picture to make it small enough to be put here and so somedetails might have 'disappeared'. I wish to apologise for this. Pencil on 50x70 paper format. 4 days. 2006.
