Custom Celtic bardic illustrations for the interior of the book Lore of the Bard, by Harper Sylvan. Published by Llewellyn Worldwide, the oldest publisher in New Age sciences. This specific image is the third plate in the book, and with this one I used an image of the stag, salmon and a hermit thrush for imagery, and again they're in a moonlit clearing, The stag represents nobility and strength in Celtic lore, the salmon is knowledge, and the thrush which acts as an oracle from the other world to this. Again, there are different symbols within the knotted tree border, including a flaming sun, the darkened sickle moon (night and day balanced), the oak leaf and the acorn, symbols of knowledge again. The stag and the salmon are also two of the most popular animals used in the shapechanging myths, and are powerful totems.
