Angellarva

This pious fellow owes its creation to excessive caffein ingestion, sleep deprivation, and maybe some other stuff better left unsaid. I may earn myself a spot in Hell for this one, who knows. I am mostly happy (if happy is the word) about how this came out - there were several times though that I did consider scrapping the whole idea - mainly because the picture really doesn't have much to do with my current mood at all (which really is a very good thing I guess). I didn't come up with a title for this one until it was almost completed (until which I thinking of calling it either 'molting angel' or 'like all good things', neither of which I was satisfied with). Purely by 'accident' I was glancing through my Latin dictionary, and happened accross the original meaning for the word 'larva'. There is the meaning 'mask', which I am assuming is where the scientific community got the idea of using the term for imature bugs...and there are also the meanings 'ghost' and 'demon' - Now I can't imagine this being called anything else... This is probably going to be the last pic that I upload for a while, since I start school on the 8th. 2003.
