This story slipped out when I was listening to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers... hence the title.
This is in a traditional Arabic poetry format called Quasida. It follows a three-part structure. The first section is Rememberance and an invocation of the lost love, the second Journey which often digresses into tangents about the meaning of the journey itself, and Boasting about the narriators wonderful qualities. The boast often end with a meditation on loss. In the Quasida, every verse has four lines, and as in ancient Greek poetry, many epithets are used for items and animals.
By now, this is a classic. It gives the perspective of what a hippie/environmentalist that has become disillusioned by society and turned goth, thinks about the world.
The original title was Skin like Snow, Hair like Blood, and a Heart as Black as Ebony. Its my take on the classic 'Snow White' story. Oh, did I mention Adrian's back?
Night Driving and Papa Roach: I ignored the Warning: Don't Mix label, as usual.
Meet Adrian, meet Chilali. Wonder how badly I can twist their tragic little lives? Badly.
