This is the head which belongs to the creature in "Furry Gnome 3D sketch". I've uploaded the head second, but actually I made it first. As I explained in the description for the other picture, I was writing a story in which these little guys were bit-part characters (initially just described as "hairy figures") when suddenly, in the middle of a scene, one of them jumped up and developed a personality. Then another one did it. Then they started to grow a backstory. So I began to draw them, and they developed an anatomy all of their own, with funny, cute, freaky little faces. I'm not sure whether they look more like mice or goblins, so for now I'm calling them furry little gnomes. I'll come up with a better name in due course. I'm proud of this head, as I think it achieves just what I was going for, which is confusion. I was aiming for a face which looks like an animal but also like a human, so that as you look at it, you keep changing your mind - animal, person, animal, no, person - but you can't make your mind up. That's what it looks like to me, anyway. I am pleased with how alien he looks. Red plasticine, no armature.
