The persistent insomnia persists. This is very bloo. The tireder I get, the brigher the colours become - I find bright blue in particular rather comforting. Dun is an underused colour in fantasy. Magical equines tend to be any other colour but humble dun. And yet I think it's such a lovely colouring, and so natural - it's one of the basic horse colours, dating back to their wild ancestors, before humans came along with selective breeding and fancy ideas about aesthetics. The contrast between the cream coat and the dark points is lovely, and I particularly like that they have a black stripe along their backs. All horses should have a black stripe along their backs. For you Statesiders, I was going to put a note saying dun=buckskin, but according to Wikipedia they are not the same, due to some highly technical genetic distinction. They look the same to me, but there you are, you learn a new thing every day. Ballpoint pen on printer paper, scanned and coloured in Serif PhotoPlus.
