This was done during activities week at school last year. It was based on a photo of a tree growing out of a bed that was shown at Belsay Hall. But then I decided to use my Artistic Licence and I turned it into...this. If you look carefully, you might see the ghost of a dark, brooding bird. Why does it haunt this tree? Nobody knows. I used watercolour paints and candle wax for the tree and background, and an ordinary HB or 2B pencil for the crow. In this version, I've improved it in PhotoShop and it's been printed on shiny photographic paper. I think it's slightly ironic that the version (I have three!) that I've edited on the computer I had to scan, but still. It was done at school, so it's on the computer there. I think.
