A close-up on Dhazarbanez. I'm not quite happy about this though. His nose seems a tad too long and I'm still working on the shading even to the edge of the paper's integrity :)
June '04: Allright, confession time! I tried to color the sketch with aquarelle pencil. It was too bold an enterprise since I haven't had much experience with dramatic lighting. In the end the paper was ruined inciting the B-Man's customary and ferocious wrath...
But what the hell! We're in the 21st century. Thus, powered by my all time favorite, the 'Big Generator' from YES, more precisely the song 'Shoot High Aim Low' and using the earlier jpeg file as template I tried my hand on digital coloring. It's far from being finished, as seen on the pencil traces all over the drawing as well as the unfinished hand. The aim was to depict a face in a low light ambience. Apart from the way-too-green skin tone (its supposed to be rather pale tone), I think its a decent start. What do you think?
