An Elven minstral and her 'tiny' audience

Sci fi/Fantasy image by

Christine Clarke

This Elf is a wandering minstral whose only companion is usually her music. She has spent a large portion of time traveling today, and there was no house or village to play for in sight. With this meaning she will have to forget about dinner and a bed for the night, she chose an inviting rock, and began to practice a new song she had written; one that a little faerie happened to take a liking to, and invent a new dance for. The minstral was very flattered to find that she would have an audience after all!

This is the second part of the poem about Hrolthin (it follows 'Journey'). You now find out that Hrolthin is the 'Chosen One' and is destined to save the Finns... And yes, I WAS running short on Old Anglo-Saxon names, so I DID get Njörl from 'Njörl's Saga' in that one Monty Python episode. It just seemed like a perfectly stereotypical Anglo-Saxon name.
