(uploaded 11/~/00) Waleed was a character I played in a fantasy campaign from 1997 - 2000. A combination of daredevil and elemental mage (his specialty was dust) with a smattering of theifly skills, Waleed was a very Erol Flynnish type rogue. As the only scoundrel in a group of very stiff-necked religious types, Waleed also doubled as comic relief for the group and was lots of fun to play. He finally died fighting a crocodillian river-dragon (Waleed never had much luck with crocodiles, but often had to deal with them as he was the only person in the group who could swim), but at the end of the campaign was ressurected by the avatar of Isis. This drawing was originaly intended to be a complete work (foreground and background) as opposed to my normal character studies, unfortunately I was unable to get the picture as a whole to work. The foreground image of Waleed, however, was such an excellent depictation of the character that I took the time to seperate it from the rest of the picture.
