A Raven In White

This photo was taken by my mother and I have full permission to use it. I have used a photo of some forests in Sweden for the background of this picture, with a couple of tweaks here and there, mostly to do with the lightning. The figure was added in photoshop afterwards, and I used a couple of photos as reference as I really struggled with the train of her dress. Overall, I'm very pleased with how this came out, although there are a few issues that I've noticed which aren't quite right(her left arm, the hair). I also ran it through a several-layered posterize filter which makes it a bit more ephemeral looking, I think. Anyway, the character is Ellanora, my priestess character. Normally I draw her in black or red but since she is a deeply naive character I though it would suit her to be in white for a change! She is a young woman who passed the tests to be trained in the temples, but has been unable to perform even the simplest kinds of magic since. Eventually, she unlocks her talent through the magic of dancing. I might eventually upload the colour version, but I'm not entirely happy with it yet. The skin tone sticks out as being horribly bright, and b/w is much kinder to these kind of problems!

Forgotten Causes

This is old and was written several years ago, like most of my poetry. I can't really write it anymore, but I went through a faze when the only creative thing I could do was write poems...however bad!

Meh, a little prologue I scribbled down to introduce the first chapter of my story. Written in one sitting...when it was raining outside. It may well be added to over time ^_^

Visitors With Wings

I really don't know where this came from, and I don't like it ever so much either. There are a few nice descriptions here and there, but for the most part it's a bit akward.

True War Is Where the Soldiers Are

This is something that started as a school project. I didn't really like the themes though, so I wrote this instead. It was an attempt to get into the head of one of my male characters, as I always struggle to write them with any accuracy! Anyways, this if from Lyan's viewpoint, as he talks to the angel Azaran, who appears to him as he breathes his last.
