A simple sketch. I wonder how this guy will refuel after he catches the hose. The plane is based on Proteus by Scaled Composite, manufacturer of some of the most eccentric (i.e. cool) planes in the world. The engine, as opposed to the dual turbofans on Proteus, is a propfan engine. Basically your average commercial jet engine with the fan blades mounted outside the engine housing. Benefit: very high efficiency. I think An-70 is the only production plane that uses this type of engine, though it's a contra-rotating version. Anyway, enough lecture on aerospace technology. Making me sound like a nerd!
