I finally got back to it and finished it. The dates in the upper corner are the dates I started it, then put it down and finally when I picked it up and finished it. Alright, since its been chosen a moderator's choice I ought to explain it. It began in mid-August of 2001 as an idea I just had to put to paper. I worked on it for the next two weeks, working the perspectives, planning the white and dark spaces on the page... then September 11th of 2001 the world as I know it changed... shifted, and I put this sketch away. I couldn't work on it, couldn't look at it. But it ate at me, it wanted out of my mind and on the paper so in July of 2002, I picked it up and one day later, finished it. People have mistaken the buildings below the two figures for the Twin Towers (which they weren't) and the drawing as being about 9-11 (which it isn't). What it was in the beginning was a moment out of a RolePlaying session that my best friend explained to me that I had a strong mental image for... a winged man (not an angel - sorry) saving another man from certain death. The RP was modern, hence the modern elements. It was only fate that made it mean so much more to me than just a cool image I had to put to the page and give life.
