An altered version of my original image in which I enhanced the contrast, changed the skin tone, and increased the lighting/glowing effects. The painting/airbrushing was done in Photoshop 6 with the round brushes, Wacom pen tablet, and over a black and white digital photo of my eye, though I left none of the original photo showing through. Basically, the photo served as a shortcut method so I didn't have to sketch out the image (and risk losing inspiration too early on as I'm prone to do) and it gave me a good lighting/shading reference while painting; the finished image however looks quite different in quality and detail than my original photo. I have more images planned to create for this character, Angellore, though this particular image of one of her eyes is purposely lacking her white facial feathers (which will be seen on future images of her when I finish them). Her eyes are a distinct feature on her (with them being all black) and I wanted to make a realistic-style image to capture that emphasis on that attribute. I'll write more about her in my later pictures of her. Created in 2008 using Photoshop.
