This is a drawing I did for my art class one year. I did one of these a couple of years before this one, but it was a gazelle/antelope instead. This one was done completely out of my head without any reference because I just felt like experimenting with it a little bit. It took me a few tries to get the wings posed right, but I finally got them so that I was satisfied. I think this one looks a lot better than my pencil antelope, probably because I spent a lot more time on it for inking and coloring it carefully. See if you can figure out why it is called a 'pencil' dragon. Most people don't see it until they look at it for a while or I tell them (I notice it almost immediately though, I guess because I'm used to it). I haven't come across anymore of these 'pencil' drawings/pictures in the Woods, but I'd like to see some other people's experiments with them. Sorry about the line in the middle of it because I had to scan it in two pieces.
