Another Niaro picture, this time of a sorceress (there's a war in Niaro, and as the ones behind all the mayhem is a sorcerer, all sorcerers need to lay low to survive. Here's the description from Deviantart, just because I'm too lazy to type it all again: "What am I to do with you? Not only is it hard enough to hide one of us, how will I be able to hide you too?" "Glass snakes" are not really snakes, but their shape is that of a snake. They belong in the world of Niaro, being more related to the spirits (not spirits as the more abstract term, but the creatures were named spirits because that was what people thought they were). They are material, in a way, but they aren't subject to things like gravity, for instance. Which permits hovering like this. They are called glass snakes because of their looks - they are slightly see-through, reflects a bit of light, have no specific colour of their own... Much like a living glass figurine. They are highly valued, but unfortunately mostly for use in potions that don't really work anyway. All their other properties are overlooked, like for example their ability to help their human companions. As for the woman - in Niaro, you have two choices if you are born with magical powers and are lucky enough to learn to control them before they kill you. You go to the good side, or the bad side. Unfortunately, the "bad" side have numerous sorcerers, where the good side have only a handful, if that. The rest are killed, and it's only the bad side which have the resources to actually teach sorcerers to really use their powers - so a sorcerer who choose to be on the other side really are no match for the bad guys. Hiding is the only option, really. But it's not that easy when sorcerers can sense eachother, and even less easy when you travel with one of the most magical creatures in Niaro.
