Dancers: Supreme

Sci fi/Fantasy image by

I have seen many elemental series on Elfwood and so I wanted to do my own. But I also wanted to do it a little different. So instead of going for the 4 elements, I decided on the 4 points of compass because each has a bit of personality of its own. I tried to reflect that in their movements and their dress theme. In the end I went a bit beyond just the 4 directions, but this will be the last of the series: the Supreme Dancer. And as in all pantheons the sun god is the supreme god, so it is with my dancers. And if the primeval dancer was accompanied by the emptyness of space, than it is no more than fitting that the supreme dancer should have the sun behind her. Painted 30-04-2007.
