The profession of criminal lawyer was here my source of inspiration.A feminine being, half-human, dedicates herself to collecting fragile and translucent eggs (judicial cases) in the desert. She brakes them up with her own hands allowing birds seeking their liberty to escape (one will notice that the birds carry human profiles more and more imperceptible as they get freer). This being represents Justice. The egg is captivity. The desert is simultaneously the scarcity of recourses at times facing the women and men of law, and isolation. The chameleons symbolize the Law, often changing both in content and orientation. The chains remind us that Justice is inextricably linked to the laws, which govern its movement and without which there is no conceivable process. On the other hand, in the insides of the shell, one can see small pairs of eyes, symbols of those guilty people sinking deeper and deeper in this labyrinth without exit.acrylics on canvas - 76x61 cm - 30x24 inches
