Although he looks incredible cruel here, this guy is the compassion itself. His name comes from the mixture of Amitayus and Amitaba(eternal life, eternal light). The buddhist sect of the pure land believes if you quote his name, you will be reborn in Amida's pure land, where - in comparism with our world - peace and quietness rules. In my story, Amida is one of the five Dhyana-buddhas, who rule the earth. He has compassion with all the living beings and wants them to be relieved from the suffering on the earth. His Myoo, or warrior-identity (another person actually) is Yamantaka. In this scene he's interventing in a battle between Baobab and Rai, showing his compassion. All the other warriors, including Yamantaka had allready failed. Btw; the sign on his chest is a swastika; a buddhist sign for the reincarnation; this has nothing to do with any NAZI's!!!
