This is Goroth. By far my favourite mIRC roleplaying character. He was the leader of a small orcish commando unit sent to infiltrate the city of Drache. The unit killed a tavern owner and his family began fortifying the inn. To the surprise of the orcs, humans kept breaking through the fortifications and offering money for food, drink and lodging. The opotunistic orcs set up business, hiring a few goblins to cut up bodies to look like cattle parts they found a way to keep themselves quite comfortable while waiting for their next orders. They've now been in the city for over a year and havn't recieved their orders yet. They have, however, begun an orcish landrights and antidiscrimination campain. As far as character portrates go, this is one of my best. I modeled the torso on some muscle magazine meat head. The rest is strait from my imagination. The expressive yellow brush strokes around him were actually a result of deciding to make the background a bit interesting after finishing the foreground. I don't mind the effect though. The shine on the muscles is achieved by watering down the paint (very dificult with cheap acrillic) and utilising the white of the paper. This takes a bit of forward planning to achieve but is quite effective when it doesn't screw up.
