Here's the product of another art class with not too much at all to do. This picture I actually put a bit more thought than usual into designing. First off, this girl's design has been in my head for a while, and I'm hoping to do something a little more with it... or tone it down in terms of the stripes... she's supposed to be a sort of lizard/wingless dragon who's usually a little sulky and reserved. I really like the concept anyway. The skirt actually has an overlaying fabric in the back, so that allows the tail to move up and down without lifting the entire thing up, while still appearing whole when nothing's in the way. The band around the top keeps it all together. I'm sure if I continue to draw her, you'll see it a little more. Finally, the only dilemma I have with this picture is the placement of her tail... it looks a little confusing beside her legs... but that could be used to her advantage to confuse onlookers! You never know! Sketched, inked, and coloured with pencil crayons, tell me what you think!
