Hell I

This is the first part of a poem I had to write for school. It's loosely based on ideas created by Dante in his 'Divine Comedy' but I didn't copy anything from it. Enjoy!

The Abyss

Evan Dakota does not know where he has been for the last month and a half of his life. He does not know who he has become. Yet he does know that in that past month he knew nothing but death and he saw nothing but darkness, an endless abyss of it, deep and black. However, now that he has come into the light he knows that he must discover who he truly is. Yet, Evan finds he can no longer distinguish real memories and events from left over sensations from a time he would like to forget...from a time in the abyss.
