This is a little creature I came up with for my fantasy world Taliar, called a valdere. They're antelope-like, and built for running. The bodies I based off a greyhound's, and they also have powerful chest, haunch, leg and neck muscles, and can stretch out to be nearly twice as long. They usually leap like gazelles, but they also gallop, when they need to go really fast. Valderes are about 4 feet tall, though the males are usually taller. The ends of their tails have a heavy club at the end, so that it can be used as a counterweight. Males have larger horns, often with a single prong in each, and are a lighter color. The darker females have small horns, more petite heads, and are shorter. But this fact is compensated by their ability to run faster, and their wider build, which adds a bit more muscle bulk. Valdere travel in herds set up much like that of a wolf's, with an alpha male and female. The females help eachother raise their fawns, while the male is often keeping a lookout.
