Shadowfane Metallium is an original character of mine from a Slayer's fanfic that is slowly coming together in my head and which I might even write one day. I also played him in a role play years ago. He is the son of an Elvan woman and the Mazoku priest Xellos Metallium. It's been a long time since I've drawn him, and I'm really pleased with how he turned out. His posture is a little funny and his head's a little big, but over-all I quite like it.A pen line drawing scanned and coloured on computer. The accompanying poem is also my own work. The sun rises in the morning, clear and bright,Shedding golden light upon the ground,Though it gilds the far-off hill tops with it's lightIn the valleys the night's darkness still is found. The moonlight turns the trees to ghosts of grey,The silvered water spreading out below,But within the forest night is for the fey,The deepended places mortals fear to go.The firelight flickers off familiar faces,It's crackling a warm and cheering sound,But beyond it's reach the night time dark still racesWith glowing eyes, and fearful things abound.Where ever there is light, there is shadow,The two must go together, hand in hand; And though you turn your face up to the sunlightIn the darkness, right behind you, there I stand.
