This picture took me about three to four hours to do from midnight to morning; I couldn't go to sleep with an unfinished picture nagging at me, could I? The picture itself is of a hunter and the objects around his neck, on his shoulder, and on his wrist are the scales of the dragons he has hunted. Obviously, there should be a lot more scales, but for simplicity and room to shade his anatomy, I only made a few. This 'project' was my experiment on light, detail, texture, and shadows. I love how the scales turned out. One of the more interesting things I did was to simplify the background to emphasize the character's detail, though as always, the scanner lost some of it. I also gave the edges bold lines to give it sort of a comic book feel. I hope you like it. Plain #2 pencil.
