I've been playing a lot of roleplaying games, lately, and well, one of them has been a weekly D&D 3E game. Recently, Brother Cael of Heironeous (Cleric of the God of Valor) died defending the city of Brindinford from a great, unspeakable evil. To replace him, I attempted to play Cortez, a Bard and traveller, but he didn't seem to be working out. When another player swapped his fighter for a Cleric to Pelor, the Sun God, I took a cue from his move and grabbed on to the idea of a Paladin to the same god, there to protect the Priest and help the group. Thus was born Ariana MacDougal. Ariana's what I refer to as a 'Shades Of Grey' Paladin, in that she knows that not everyone is perfect (but believes they can aspire to that perfection of spirit), that she can't save everyone (but damned if she won't try), and that sometimes, the Good Guys lose (still, she doesn't take defeat easy). Her goal is to keep people (especially children) safe, and protect the greater good. So far, she's doing a bang up job. I hope to have a picture of Ariana up with her armor sometime in the future. We'll see. Oh, one more thing: Note the pitiful attempt at scenery. I'm proud of the rock.
