Done in art class my 9th grade year, was the first sculpture of any kind I did, and up until my recent sculptures was my very favorite. An assignment to make a sculpture showing movement out of wire and metal- urrrggg, so much work… Aww man, I remember like it was yesterday; I was so obsessed with this thing, I couldn’t tell you how many hours I spent twisting together the body framework, cutting out the pieces of bronze plates for the wings and chest plates and putting it all together, (welding is eeevil). So... much time… *twitch* But hey it was worth it! and he is still very important to me. ^_^ It was submitted into the Boston Globe Art Scholastic Art Show, which was nice. Fairly large- 7in high, and 12 in across. If I were to spread out the wings, they would be 30in across! O,o Wow! Other views shown elsewhere.
