Slightly inspired by 'Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind' but mainly out of my own imagination ... actually it didn't start out as an angel at all, but my friend was giving me a very quick lesson on drawing wings so I decided to make her an angel. This was on a dry-erase board with dry-erase marker, then traced to a clear plastic sheet so I could scan it...the original was better, but now it's erased, such is the nature of dry erase boards.

This is a poem I wrote three years ago, and still am quite proud of. It was inspired by a book on heiroglyphics with an author whose name I couldn't pronounce. It started with 'Z' and my sister (yes, it was Alice) named him 'Dr. Zucchini.' Of course, someone with a name like that needed a history...
