'Times, how they change... I seem to remember a dragon...what was his name? Oh yes, Charlie, I called him...Charlie...Oh, the fun we had! A tree was a palace, the small piece of land that at one time seemed so massive was a kingdom...the ball we had lost the day before became a mystery waiting to be solved, me the detective and Charlie my loyal hound. The sun always shone, the skies always blue. I sigh as I remember how I'd climb under that fence, past the clump of trees and the oddly shaped rock, over the red gate and into my secret hideaway, where Charlie, my dear sweet Charlie, would be waiting...wagging his tail, eager to play. He was my best friend... The clump of trees I used to pass by have been cut down now. The planning permission sign is up on the rusty gate. The field will be gone...Even now, it seems so much smaller than it used to. No more daises will grow there, no more children will play. And Charlie? Charlie left a long time ago... A tear rolls down my cheek. Reality tells me he was probably never there. but my heart...my heart remembers...' Done sometime last year. Coloured in ms paint
