A spiritual creature, somewhere between a dog and a deer. Bequeths foresight, warning and luck in the ones it is loyal to, but can be fickle if it does not trust your motives to it or others. Flighty, wide-eyed and fast, it will rarely-to-never be with you when danger arrives, but you won't be taken by surprise. The dogdeer is not entirely real, and is said to disappear in the deep trees, icy wastes and the orange deserts, although noone has ever seen the actual disappearing, merely couldn't find it afterwards. Nearly all travellers, warriers and others of the high-risk-job-description ilk will often ensure they have a companion who is skilled in communicating telepathically in case one turns up, and often a small amount of food will be left out for one beside the camp in the hopes of attracting one, just in case. Of course all this might be superstition, and dogdeer may be a widely-spread species that is very fast and very good at hiding. However, the question of how each dogdeer recieves its unique tattoos remains unanswered. Originally, it was going to be an anthro mouse, but my pencil had other ideas and I'm very pleased with the result. Pencil, black ink, coloured and watercolour pencil.
