Cadell tried to hide the hurt in his voice. 'Well, I'm sorry for caring. Perhaps I should just leave you alone. I'll talk to you later, once you've had a chance to put you head back on. After all, what do I know? I'm just a silly king with a silly vision of a dagger in my only love's back!' With that, he turned on his heel and walked briskly toward the door.
'Well, perhaps you are!' Raven spat after him. 'Maybe everything last summer tipped you over the edge. If you ask me, you're nothing but a hopeless child who can't take care of himself!'
Cadell turned to stare at Raven, eyes burning. 'I may be just that, but at least I'm not living in the past. Wake up, Raven! Your parent's are dead, and your little personal melodrama is certainly not going to bring them back!' He left, not caring to listen to anything more Raven had to say.
Raven sank to the black marble steps and wept, her knees pulled up to her chest.
-Midwinter's Despair, first draft
(I finally straightened the image out...no more tilted steps! Also, you asked for more detail, so there it is. One of these days I promise I'll actually draw something on the tapestry...and perhaps even draw it straight!)
