I started this in Study Hall after I finished my math.  I love trees, and my sister claims I'm obsessed with them.  Did you ever notice that every species of tree has its own special growth pattern?  I'm serious!  For example:  Birch trees are often clumped together, long, tall, and thin.  Their branches each look like a smaller tree, and the twigs on the branches each look like smaller trees, too.  They often have short limbs with 'frizzy' looking twigs.   ...In contrast, lilacs are scraggly and have many trunks.  Their branches are kinky and twiggy, often shooting off in strange directions.  The dryad that I drew appears to be a cross between an oak and an elm.  I had a lot of fun with it, and was really surprised that it turned out so well. figment
