What Should Have Been...

Sci fi/Fantasy image by

What sorrow there must be... For the angel born a man... The loss of wings that never were... Life tread upon the sallow earth... A scribbling and a drawing. Started as a body study, then this wing showed up. Done in pencil and nothing more...

I was reading the subjects for Jim Bowers' previous projects. Trying to think about the personification of Death, this came out. Beware, it is another short meaningless blurb. I'm ever so fond of them you know...

Small Blessings

Another short piece that ties into The Phoenix Cycle. This centers around several minor characters. Who, for all intensive purposes, will likely transform into minor-major characters. I may expand this eventually, but for now it shall remain as it is: short and weakly plotted... and slightly revised.

I wrote this waiting in line for my perscription at K-Mart. Grammar is right out the window with this one! Make of it what you will, for that is its purpose.

The Good Shepherd

This is my submission for the Herscher Project #16, The Hunters and the Hunted. Has ties to my Bright Side of Hell piece, but nothing anyone can pick up on.

What would you wait for? I had a picture in my mind, but my hands have not the skills to draw. So I drew with words instead; though drab it is in compare... Time is an entity, living, breathing, loving...

Monster Motel (revised)

This was a ten minute foray into childhood fantasies. After I wrote it, I LOVED it. The problem was, it was missing something. So I gave the copy to Sadia Ali . She looked it over, giggled a bit, and did these awesome illustrations. Some people have had a problem viewing this. I've reworked the image positions a dozen times. The best way to read it is with a high resolution setting. Any opinions on how to fix?

My Darling Little Star...

I wrote this poem three years ago when my godson, Alexander Gabrial Derosia was stillborn. I'm posting it now to celebrate his third birthday. We all agree that he was the most beautiful little baby. Sometimes people aren't meant to live in this world, but watch over it from the next. A tiny star, lighting the way...

This is yet another addition to the Phoenix Cycle. Eddric is easily one of the most important characters and even though she didn't exist until I started writing this, Sa're very well may have a significant role. Though this piece may be lacking in many ways, it is one of my favorites.

Earth Bound: Birth

*notice this story and its subsequent parts have spoilers for the Pheonix Cycle* Now considering that it it isn't written, I doubt anyone will care. Those who have read both Blue Skies and Bridges may have a much better understanding of what's going on. This should also answer a few questions from both of those stories. This is the first part of Cale's story. Beginning here with his birth, it should go on in subsequent sections until his twelth year. For Sadia, Joelle and Becca... Whom will have to settle for a few crumbs...

This 'poem' was inspired by Sadia Ali's beautiful picture, 'Doubt' and is used here with her permission. Unfortunate that my word don't give it justice... The original can be seen here.

The Lost

Well, here is another slightly cryptic, very short little blurb. As always, I like it (which usually means most won't). Funny what things you come up with watching a TV show.
