Time for more TOLKIEN ART!!!!! *blasts LOTR theme-music on boombox* 'Cept this is the Silmarillion, baby, not Lord of the Rings. So, on with the description. Woot. Well, one of the stories in the Silmarillion that really stuck with me was the tale of Aredhel and Eol. Why? Because if you think about it, it's very Phantomish. To make a fairly short story even shorter, Aredhel is lost in the woods and is spied by Eol who is sort of an outcast (by his own choice) and "shuns the sunlight." He sees her, desires her, lures her to his home, and then marries her. Wow, what a way to go. And although he had his restrictions for her (can't leave the forest, stay out of the sunlight, etc.), she didn't really mind living with him and it said that they had long and lovely nights of wandering beneath the stars. And they had a son! But that leads off into another story entirely and it's rather tragic, so I won't go there. I'm over all pleased with this, but there are some anatomy issues concerning Aredhel that I'm slightly hacked about, but didn't notice till I inked it. Ain't that always the way?
