Some wierd mix of tiger, lionfish and I guess a sea snake. Found in shallow seas in the sub tropical and temperate regions. Prefer areas with thick kelp beds or rocky overhangs. The prey primarily on seals and fish, but also on the occasional unwarry dolphin or merperson. About twelve feet in length from nose to tail tip, they live in pods of up to ten. The frill around the head is found only on the males, and is believed to be used for courtship, as well as to intimidate rival males. Like the tropical lionfish, the spines are poisonous, and it's flashy fins are used to herd prey into a corner where it becomes an easy catch. Don't ask me were I got this from, I think of wierd things sometimes.
